Shambhala is committed to bringing the simple practice of meditation to as many people as possible through a worldwide association of 165 centers that provide meditation instruction, classes, and programs. Shambhala's spiritual leader is Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche, son and spiritual heir to Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche - Tibetan meditation master and author of Cutting Through Spiritual Materialism and Shambhala; the Sacred Path of the Warrior. Mipham Rinpoche and Shambhala teachers present meditation in ordinary language and in ways that can help people in their everyday lives. Ane Pema Chödron senior student of Chogyam Trungpa, is now Teacher In Residence for the Bay Area Shambhala Centers. Pema teaches in residence three months out of each year. If you would like to learn more about these teachers, and about Shambhala, visit the Shambhala International website at www.shambhala.org.
